Problem
Small businesses get sold a website the same way every time: a pitch, a mockup, a deposit, then months of waiting for something that may never look like what they pictured.
What we built
ONKA, the studio I co-founded with Steven Kebila, inverts that order. We design and build the site first and show it live, on the business's own content, before the first meeting. No templates, no mockups, no promises. The work is French-first and bilingual for the Quebec market, and it ships on Astro, so pages are static HTML with JavaScript only where a component genuinely needs it.
My role: I own the engineering: the stack, the standards, the component and content systems every client site is built from, and the pipeline that lets a small team ship a complete site fast without it turning unmaintainable.
Outcome
50 sites built and online across 8 trades in Montreal, Laval, and the Rive-Sud.
